Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

On booking your first appointment you will be given confirmation of costs, terms and conditions, cancellation policy, payment details and an intake form.

Please read all of the paperwork to make sure you are happy to proceed and ensure that the information you provide is correct..

By commencing the session, you are giving your consent to take part in the therapy.

1. Sessions

The first session will last up to 90 minutes and will include going over the intake form and may involve asking for further clarification or more information.

Subsequent sessions will last between 60 and 70 minutes unless otherwise agreed or due to lateness, so please allow enough time for the sessions.

I reserve the right to cancel or terminate sessions if it becomes apparent that the details provided are incorrect or that it transpires the client’s needs are outside of the skill set of hypnotherapy/coaching.

2. Remote Sessions

You are responsible for ensuring you have a suitable environment for online sessions, including a stable internet connection and privacy.

In the event that a session can’t go ahead as planned due to poor connection/power cuts etc., the session will be rescheduled for another time, or another platform attempted.

The session is between Gail Hooper and you as the client.  Confidentiality must be preserved therefore third parties are not permitted to be present in either room.

3. In-Person Sessions

In-person hypnotherapy/coaching sessions are held at Remedies Pharmacy, Mellieha, Malta in a consultation room.

If you are arriving by car, please note that parking may be difficult to find and allow time for this.

4. Fees

Online sessions must be paid at least 48 hours in advance to secure the booking through Paypal, Revolut or bank transfer.

In-person sessions can be paid on the day of the appointment with cash, Revolut or Paypal.

Block sessions or coaching packages must be used within six months of purchase unless agreed with beforehand. No refunds are provided for unused sessions after this time. Block sessions or coaching packages cannot be transferred to another person.

5. Late Arrival

If you are running late to your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible. I will do my best to make a full session available, but it may not always be possible due to other appointments and, in the case of in-person sessions, booking the consultation room.

Please note that if your session is curtailed due to your late arrival that the session fee will not be discounted.

If you are more than 25 minutes late to a pre booked and paid for appointment, without prior notification by phone call or message the session will be considered a ‘no show’ and no refund will be made.

6. Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please inform me at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged up to 50% of the full session fee.

I reserve the right to cancel an appointment in exceptional circumstances and will give as much notice as possible.

7. Refunds

Hypnotherapy/coaching sessions that have been completed are not eligible for refunds as the time has been allocated. However, a free session may be offered if there was an issue or concern with the session. This is at my discretion.

If you have paid in advance for block sessions or a coaching package and decide not to continue you will be refunded the cost of the block sessions or package minus the sessions that have already been used.

8. Disclaimer

I will always do my best to help you achieve a successful outcome. However, an agreement to work on an issue does not mean that a particular result can be guaranteed.

Results can vary from person to person and successful sessions rely on your commitment, involvement and motivation. I facilitate change using hypnotherapy and coaching, I cannot force you to change or do anything against your will.

Bear in mind that your goals for hypnotherapy/coaching may change as a result of the process you are undertaking.

Hypnosis/hypnotherapy/coaching is not a replacement for medical treatment, psychological or psychiatric services or counselling.

9. Standards of Behaviour

Clients are expected to behave respectfully during sessions and be free from drugs and alcohol (except medication prescribed by your doctor).

If you demonstrate violent, abusive or anti-social behaviour I reserve the right to cancel the session and any future sessions with no refund.

Any inappropriate behaviour will result in the session being terminated without a refund.

10. Privacy and Confidentiality

I keep and maintain client records both electronically and in paper form. Your information is protected against loss, theft and unauthorised access or use.

Your information will never be sold or distributed unless required by law.

I will ask you if you would like your email to be added to my mailing list. If you agree, you free to unsubscribe at any time.

All personal information shared during sessions is strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties in all but the most exceptional circumstances. Situations where information may have to be disclosed are as follows:

  • If there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or to others, then your GP or the Police may be informed – it may not be possible to talk to you first.
  • You reveal a child is being abused or is in danger of being abused.
  • If there is a court order. I would always seek advice from my insurers and legal team first before disclosing information.
  • From time to time, I may also consult with a supervisor and/or other colleagues. This would be done without names and identifiable information to protect privacy.

11. Contacting Your GP

If, for any reason, I need to contact your GP I will always attempt to seek your permission before writing or making contact with your GP, plus give you a copy of any correspondence.

In any situation, I recommend that you talk to your GP before commencing therapy or coaching, to rule out any underlying medical causes. Please don’t stop or change medication without speaking to your GP / medical professional.

12. Contact Between Sessions

I am happy to hear from clients between sessions through text messages or email and I endeavour to reply within 24 hours.

I do not take phone calls unless they are due to being late for an appointment, delays, cancellations, or arranged in advance.

My phone is switched off after hours and cannot be used for emergency purposes.

If you have any further questions please get in touch.
